Taekwondo is one of the oldest forms of martial arts in the world, with a history spanning over 2,000 years. At Him-Do Tae Kwon Do Academy, we teach two different forms of Taekwando:

  • World Taekwondo (WT): This form focuses on Olympic style sport with acrobatic kicks and scoring, governed by World Taekwondo.
  • ITF Taekwondo: This form emphasises traditional martial arts techniques, self defence and full contact sparring with various organisations.

The key differences between the two lie in their techniques, rules and organisational affiliations. We offer traditional Taekwondo classes to all ages—from beginners to more experienced students.

Our classes are designed to build self discipline, flexibility, strength, endurance and confidence while having fun learning the art of self defence. We emphasise discipline, respect and courtesy in our training, allowing students to gain a better understanding of the martial arts and their own physical abilities.
